Thank you to all delegates, visitors, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors that made the 8th annual Transmission & Distribution/Smart Grids Europe conference and exhibition in Copenhagen such a great success!

Over 780 participants from 50 countries attended the conference and exhibition on 12-14 April 2011 including representatives from 90 international utilities.

This shows once again that Transmission & Distribution/Smart Grids Europe is Europe's leading platform for the electricity supply industry!

Conference highlights
Over 3days with more than a 80 contributions from representatives from many TSOs and DSOS throughout Europe,  regulators, consultants and solution providers. 

The conference delegates gained helpful information and practical insight on the developments within wide-ranging topics spanning all areas of the electricity supply chain.

The sessions that  drew most participants were on new communication technologies and consumer engagement, smart grid applications, storage and transport  solutions for renewable generations and e-vehicles,   all of which emphasised the scope and importance of electricity as an alternative energy source to fossil fuels.

Exhibition highlights
A constant flow of people throughout the day offered exhibitors the chance to meet potential customers and partners and offered participants the opportunity to ask questions, test products and latest trading technologies.

The Technology & Innovation showcase area was well received. Over 2-days different solution providers presented their products and services. 

Delegates, speakers, visitors and solution providers had the chance to connect during the numerous networking opportunities, all taking place on the exhibition floor.
